Suspect In Belltown Slashing Leaves Weave At the Scene of the Crime

One woman was slashed in an early-morning fight Wednesday in Belltown.

Around 1am Wednesday, the victim of the attack was walking across 3rd Avenue and Stewart when another woman—described as  a black female, 5’8, heavy-set, wearing a pink sweatshirt and white pants—walked up to the victim and started yelling at her. The suspect then took a few swings at the victim.

During the fight, the female suspect grabbed a bottle, broke it, and swung it at the victim, slashing her chin.

The victim fought back, and pulled out the suspect’s hair weave, before the suspect fled.

The victim then walked to 3rd Avenue and Pine Street, where officers found her holding a bloody towel to her face.

Two men, who were with the victim when police arrived, declined to speak with officers about the incident.

After speaking with police, the woman went to Harborview for treatment.

Officers were unable to find the suspect, but did find her weave laying in the street at 3rd Avenue and Stewart Street.
