A 21 year old woman assaulted her 12 year old brother with a knife in a domestic violence altercation in South Seattle. At approximately 8:23 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 9700 block of 59th Avenue South for a 911 hang up call with the calling party reporting a stabbing before hanging up the phone.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect, a 21 year old female, got into a verbal argument with her brother that escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect ended up cutting the victim on the shoulder with a knife.
SFD medics responded to the scene and evaluated the victim’s non-life-threatening injury. The victim was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center by family members for follow up treatment.
The female suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the South Precinct. She will be booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Domestic Violence Assault.
