Volunteer with the Seattle Police Department’s Victim Support Team

Victim Support Team (VST) is a unique partnership between community members and police department that addresses domestic violence prevention and safety for victims directly following a police incident.

We are currently accepting applications for the upcoming 50-hour Training Academy starting this fall on October 6th, 2012.

The Academy is a commitment of 7 consecutive Saturdays in October and November from 9am-5pm each day. Volunteers are trained on a range of topics presented by SPD detectives, officers, community leaders, DV Advocates and VST staff. At the completion of Academy, VST volunteers are required to work a minimum of 1 8-hour shift per month and attend 7 out of 12 2-hour monthly meetings a year.
