Man smashed North Precinct lobby doors

A man smashed the glass panel doors at the North Precinct.  On 8/23/12, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a citizen waiting in the north precinct parking lot for officers saw a male walk calmly into the lot carrying a large rock. The suspect walked directly to the front doors of the precinct, and threw the rock through the glass panel of the of the outer doors. The rock broke through an inner door as well, and ended up in the inner lobby

Officers inside the building heard the glass breaking. When they went to the lobby, they saw the suspect standing calmly outside the building. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect told officers he was from Guatemala and committed the crime in order to “go home”.

Suspect arrested and booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Malicious Mischief.
