One man was shot in downtown Seattle Friday morning following a a hold-up at a jewelry store.
At about 10:30 am, police received reports of gunfire at Westlake Center, where a robbery suspect pulled a gun on a clerk inside the store and fired several shots as he fled.
About five minutes later, the suspect shot a security guard on the street at 6th and Stewart, striking him in the hand.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to Harborview in stable condition.
Officers caught up to the suspect near 7th Avenue and Stewart Street arrested him.
Robbery detectives are now handling the investigation.
