A crash involving a cement truck and three other vehicles closed all southbound lanes and two northbound lanes on Aurora Avenue Friday.
Just after 2 pm, the cement truck overturned on Aurora Avenue near 72nd Street, and struck two pickup trucks and a passenger car.
The cement truck driver, a man in his 30s, was taken to the hospital.
Seattle fire personnel are also evaluating another driver, a man in his 40s.
Traffic collision detectives are handling the investigation. We’ll post more info as it becomes available.
Update: The cement truck driver hit three other vehicles—two pickup trucks and a car—during the crash. The cement truck driver was taken to Harborview with serious injuries, and the driver of one of the pickup trucks was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The two other drivers were not injured.
