Detectives Trying to Find Robber Who Pointed His Gun At a Baby

Robbery detectives are trying to track down a man who stuck a gun in a one-year-old child’s face and threatened to kill the child’s mother during a robbery on Beacon Hill Monday evening.

Just before 8:30 pm, a woman was sitting in her car with her infant child near Shaffer Avenue S. and S. Morgan Street when a man walked up to the car, pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her wallet and purse.

The suspect—described as an Asian male in his late teens to early 20s, with a thin build, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt—then pressed his gun up against the one-year-old’s face and threatened to shoot the mother and her child.

The woman handed the suspect a bag, which contained diapers and baby formula, before he fled.
