A 15-year-old male suspect was arrested in South Seattle after running from officers following an attempted burglary. On October 20th at approximately 10:34 a.m. the complainant/victim called 911 to report that he observed an unknown black male wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt and a backpack walking around his yard. The complainant further stated that the suspect knocked on his door and then tried the door handle and also tried to open windows.
Responding officers set up containment around the house. As officers approached from the east they spotted the suspect and ordered him to stop. The suspect took off running westbound and ran right into another group of officers that were staged near the victim’s house.
The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
This remains an active an on-going burglary investigation.
