Officers responded to an early morning call of a hit and run collision which initially began in the 2100 Block of Alaskan Way and ended several blocks away with a violent collision involving another vehicle at the intersection of Western and Vine.
At about 3:30 this morning, officers were responding to a report of a hit and run collision on Alaskan Way. The suspected vehicle was described as a maroon Ford truck, driven by a white male. As officers were enroute to the call, another call came in reporting a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Western Avenue and Vine Street. One of the vehicles described was a maroon Ford truck. The truck had “T-boned” a white van and the force of the collision forced one of the vehicles into a buiding along Western Ave, resulting in a broken window to the building. The driver of the truck reportedly got out of the truck and fled on foot northbound through a nearby alley. Officers attempted to locate the suspect, but he remains at large. Two passengers remained inside the truck, and they both sustained minor injuries. Seattle Fire Department medics transported a male and female from the truck to Harborview Medical Center. The driver of the van sustained minor injuries and was also transported to the hospital. West Precinct patrol officers documented the collision and detectives will follow up on the investigation.
