Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision in North Seattle

A four-year-old boy and two women were injured in a collision in North Seattle this afternoon.  At 3:25 p.m. officers responded to the report of a vehicle/pedestrian collision at NE 50th Street and University Way NE.

Preliminary information indicates that a female driver of a silver 2002 Toyota Prius was involved in a collision with three pedestrians, a small boy and two adult females.

A four-year-old boy was transported by fire department medics to Harborview Medical Center (HMC) with non-life-threatening injuries.  The boy’s mother and another adult female pedestrian, both women in their 30’s, were transported by ambulance to HMC with non-life-threatening injuries.  Another child, a sister of the 4-year-old boy, was not injured in the collision but was transported with her mother per SFD policy.

Officers continue to actively investigate the circumstances leading up to the collision.
