A man who robbed a South Seattle business at gunpoint tonight remains at large. At approximately 6:20 p.m. officers responded to a 911 call of an armed robbery to a business (A Dog’s Dream) located in the 5900 block of Airport Way South. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect came into the business, pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded money. The victim opened the till at which time the suspect removed all of the cash from the register. The suspect told the victim to turn around while he left or he would shoot her. The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction. Nobody was injured during the robbery. Responding officers conducted an extensive area search however, the suspect remains at large.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 40’s, 6’1″ tall, last seen wearing a black knit cap and dark jacket.
Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident. Anonymous tips are welcome.
