Southwest Precinct officers responded to a possible stabbing early this morning at Delridge Way SW and SW Kenyon Street. However, when they arrived they could not locate the victim. The victim then called 911 again, and indicated that he was at new location of 22nd Avenue SW and Delridge Way SW, approximately 13 blocks north.
Shortly after 2:00 am, officers responded to that location and found the man who did have a bleeding injury to his lower left back. Seattle Fire Department Medics responded and treated him at the scene, and then transported him to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment. The injury is not considered life-threatening.
The victim told officers that the incident occurred at Delridge and Kenyon, however, officers could not locate any crime scene there. The victim would not or could not describe his assailant to police. For some unknown reason, the victim waited approximately 15 minutes before calling police, even though he had a cell phone with him. The victim was not forthcoming with much of the information.
Officers conducted a thorough area check for a suspect and evidence at both locations, but did not locate either.
