Armed Robbery of Three Juveniles in West Seattle

Three juveniles were robbed at gun and knife-point Friday night in West Seattle.  On February 15th at approximately 8:57 p.m. the three juvenile victims were in the 2600 block of California Avenue SW when four suspects approached them.  The suspects displayed a gun and knives and stole a phone and camera from the victims.  The suspect then fled the area on foot.  None of the victims were injured.

All four suspects were wearing either masks or bandanas to cover their faces.  One suspect was armed with a hand gun; two of the other suspects were armed with knives.

Responding officers conducted an area search for the suspects with the assistance of a canine unit.  Three possible suspects were detained in the 2800 block of Walnut Avenue SW.  These suspects were identified and subsequently released to their parents/legal guardians pending further investigation.

During a search of the area where the suspects were detained officers located a gun (which was determined to be a SIG-Sauer-copy airsoft pistol), two masks and a knife that are believed to have been the ones used in the robbery.

Eventually one suspect was located and positively identified at his house.  He was interviewed and released pending further investigation.

There are no additional details available at this time.

This remains an active and on-going robbery investigation.
