Detectives from the Traffic Collision Investigation Squad are following up on a collision that occurred last night between a Ford van and a motorcycle at 1st Avenue South and South Hudson Street.
Just before 7:00 pm last night, officers responded to a report of a collision at 1st Avenue South and South Hudson. The 61-year-old rider of the BMW motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center. The 56-year-old driver of the van was not injured. As is routine, the van driver was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and no signs of impairment were detected. Traffic Collision Investigators responded and began their investigation.
