Two men inside a parked car were found dead from gunshot wounds to the head early this morning at 39 Avenue South and South Kenyon Street a little after 6:00 this morning.
A patrol sergeant was on routine patrol in the New Holly neighborhood when he observed broken glass on the street next to a parked car. The sergeant stopped to investigate further, thinking it might be a car prowl. As he approached the car, he could see two men inside, with gunshot wounds to their heads. Seattle Fire was called, but both men were already deceased.
Detectives from the Homicide and Assault Unit and CSI responded and began their investigation. Officers canvassed the neighborhood talking with neighbors, to see if anyone might have seen or heard anything unusual. This remains an active and on-going investigation. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Seattle Police.
