An unknown suspect grabbed a 14-year-old girl and tried to pull her to the ground. Last night just shortly before 9:00 p.m., the victim got off the #7 metro bus at Rainier Av S and S. Andover St and was walking home. When she reached 34 Av S. and S. Oregon St, an unknown suspect came up behind her and grabbed the victim around the neck with both arms.
The victim kicked the suspect in the groin which loosened his grip, she was then able to escape and run home. The suspect did not follow her. The victim stated that during the confrontation the suspect did not speak.
Patrol officers and a K-9 unit arrived in the area and conducted a search for the suspect and evidence. Seattle Fire responded and treated the victim for minor injuries to her throat which was the result of the suspect grabbing her.
Suspect information: Black male, mid 20s, 170 pounds, 5’8, short hair cut in a fade, hair on his chin, gray sweat jacket with Nike emblem, and gray sweat pants.
