Two men were arrested early this morning after the employees at Gary’s Westside Tow called 911 to report a burglary.
South Precinct officers responded to Gary’s Westside Tow lot in the 5900 Block of 4th Avenue South a little after 1:00 this morning for a report of a possible burglary. The caller stated that several suspects were trying to break into the tow yard and retrieve a vehicle that had been impounded earlier. Officers arrived and located the suspects near the gate. The suspects were taken into custody and the employee was contacted. He told officers that the suspects had forced the gate off of its tracks and entered the yard, and were in the process of disabling the chain drive to the gate when he called 911.
The two male suspects, ages 21 and 37, were later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Burglary.
