Two men were stabbed Saturday in Wallingford after an early-morning argument over noise turned violent.
Just before 2 am Saturday morning, the suspect in the attack was walking west on 45th Street—carrying a six-pack of beer and a frozen pizza—when he encountered a group of seven people standing out on the sidewalk near his apartment.
After the suspect told the group to quiet down, he got into an argument with several group members and began hurling beer bottles at the group.
The suspect then charged the group and used a broken beer bottle to attack two men—stabbing one man in the abdomen and a second man in the leg.
Police arrived at the scene two minutes later officers and found the two victims in the street near N. 45th and Wallingford Avenue N.
Officers soon noticed a man standing at the top of a staircase outside an apartment building, who looked like he was trying to hide from police.
Officers approached the man and handcuffed him after they noticed he had blood on his clothing.
After several witnesses identified the blood-spattered man as the suspect in the double-stabbing, officers booked the man into the King County Jail for assault.
Both victims were taken to Harborview for treatment.
