Man attacked while sitting in bus shelter

A man was viciously attacked while sitting in a bus shelter. This morning just shortly before 10:00 a.m., the victim was sitting in a Metro Bus Shelter in the 500 block of 3 Ave (West Side) when he was approached by two unknown males in their 20’s.  The suspects suddenly attacked the victim and punched him until he fell to the ground.

While the victim was on the ground the suspects shook him several times, causing the victim’s head to bounce off the concrete.  Although the attack was violent, the victim said he did not lose consciousness.

The suspects tried to get the victim’s wallet from his back pocket, but the victim successfully retained it.  The suspects ran SB on 3 Ave and then WB at about Yesler St when a Metro bus pulled into the bus stop.

The Metro bus driver who witnessed the assault allowed the victim to take refuge in her bus until officers arrived.  Seattle Fire responded and treated the victim for a bump on the head. He was later transported to HMC for further treatment.

An area check for the suspects was unsuccessful.

Suspects: Black males, 20s, tall & slender, both wearing hoodies. This investigation is active on on going.
