Two suspects were arrested after fleeing the scene of a disturbance and crashing their vehicle into a rockery. This morning just shortly after 2:00 a.m., 911 received a call of a fight disturbance involving a firearm in the 10000 block of Aurora Av N.
While units were enroute, an update was given that the suspects had left in a vehicle. A license plate was provided, and a patrol unit on the way to the call encountered the suspect vehicle.
The officer followed the suspects for a number of blocks. When a stop was attempted, the suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. A short time later the car crashed into a rockery. Two suspects were taken into custody. Both ended up going to the hospital for evaluations.
Both suspects sustained non-life threatening injuries. There were no other injuries reported.
The driver/suspect was arrested for eluding. The passenger/suspect was arrested for outstanding warrants.
Charges for Violation of the Uniform Firearms Act are pending, awaiting results of fingerprint analysis of the recovered handgun.
