A man was run over and left lying injured in the middle of the street. On 06/26/13, just shortly before 4:00 p.m., an unknown witness heard a “thunk” and then observed an adult male lying in the southbound curb lane in the 3100 block of Rainier Ave. S. Officers arrived to find the victim lying in the roadway unresponsive.
It appears that the victim, who utilizes a cane, may have been attempting to cross the busy 6 lane roadway eastbound mid block, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center with life threatening injuries by Medic one. Officers scoured the neighborhood for any witnesses and possible business cameras. At this time there is no vehicle description.
