A man is cut with a knife and a woman grabbed during a home invasion robbery in North Seattle early this morning.
At approximately 3:25 a.m. officers responded to reports of a home invasion robbery in the 1100 block of North 82nd Street. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked back door. The suspect entered the furnace room area and grabbed a female victim; she screamed and ran upstairs. The suspect chased her upstairs where he confronted two male victims playing video games.
The suspect brandished a knife toward the male victims and demanded all their property. Victim male #1 rushed toward the suspect and attempted to disarm him. Victim male #1 sustained cuts to his hands during the altercation and ran out the back door.
The suspect grabbed victim male #2 and again demanded all his personal property. The suspect then turned and ran out the rear door chasing after victim male #1.
Responding officers contacted victim male #1 a few blocks from the residence. He was transported to Northwest Hospital for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers conducted an area search for the suspect with the assistance of canine units but were unable to locate the suspect, who remains at large.
Nobody else was injured during the incident.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
