A 29-year-old man is in custody for child molestation following a K9 track last night in the Rainier View neighborhood.
Officers responded to a call last night at 10:30 pm in the 11600 Block of Beacon Avenue South. The call indicated that the 29-year-old male suspect was masturbating onto an 11-year-old girl, his stepdaughter. When the suspect was confronted, he fled the house on foot.
Officers arrived quickly and set up containment. A K9 team arrived and began tracking. After about 20 minutes, the suspect was located and arrested without incident in the 11800 Block of 54th Avenue South. He was positively identified by witnesses and booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Child Molestation. Detectives from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit have been assigned this case and will conduct the follow up investigation.
