A man was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding into the back of a parked semi-truck.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision with injuries in North Seattle. Preliminary investigation indicates that an adult male was driving southbound in his blue Jeep Wrangler. In the 11100 block of Aurora Avenue North the Jeep driver collided into the rear end of a legally-parked and unoccupied semi-truck (the semi-truck was parked at the west side curb).
Fire department medics responded and transported the Jeep driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The events leading up to the crash are unknown at this time and remain under active investigation.
Traffic Collision Investigation Squad detectives responded to the scene and continue to actively investigate.
