Seattle Police Divers Rescue Man in Distress in Lake Union

Seattle Police Harbor officers rescued a man in distress in South Lake Union yesterday afternoon.

On August 3rd at approximately 1:00 p.m. a witness called 911 to report that an intoxicated male suspect was trespassing on a boat docked behind Daniel’s Broiler in Chandler’s Cove Marina.  At 2:10 p.m. witnesses called 911 to report that a man was drowning and another man was attempting to rescue him at the same location as the 1:00 p.m. 911 call.  (The man in distress in the water apparently refused the assistance of the man trying to rescue him).

Seattle Police Harbor officers responded to the scene along with SFD.

Seattle Police divers quickly recovered the man from the water and started CPR.

The man was turned over to fire department medics who transported him to Harborview Medical Center in life-threatening condition.

There are no additional details on this incident.
