Man Robbed At Gunpoint & Assaulted Inside His Car

A man was hospitalized after being robbed at gunpoint and assaulted inside his car early yesterday morning.

It all started on August 3rd at approximately 4:00 a.m. in front of the Royal Hookah Lounge located in the 200 block of 12th Avenue South.  Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim was sitting in his car in front of the bar when two black male suspects got inside his vehicle and pointed a gun to his head.  The suspects told the victim to drive and fearing for his life, he complied.  In the 4400 block of Renton Avenue South the victim stopped his vehicle and the two suspects struck him on the face and head multiple times with their pistols.  The suspects stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone and fled the area in a green Toyota Camry.

Responding officers conducted an area search for the suspects but they were not located and remain at large.

The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries, which included a missing upper tooth, swelling on his left cheek, swelling on the left side of his forehead, and swelling on his lower lip.  The victim’s vehicle was towed to the evidence garage to be processed by detectives.

Suspect#1 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’10” tall, 145 lbs., and was wearing black jeans, a black shirt and black jacket.

Suspect #2 is described as a black male, 20-25 years old, 5’11” tall, 180 lbs., and was also wearing black jeans, a black shirt and black jacket.

The victim further stated that both suspects were from Somalia.

Anyone with information about this incident or who may know the identities or whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police and refer to this incident.
