Arson detectives are investigating a deliberately set fire at a Central District restaurant that did tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
On August 12th at approximately 2:14 a.m. officers and fire department personnel responded to the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue for a building fire. Arriving units could see visible flames on the rear of the restaurant near a storage area. The fire was quickly put out and detectives proceeded with their on-scene investigation.
Nobody was inside the restaurant at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
