Officers continue to search for a male suspect following a stabbing that occurred early this morning. At approximately 5:25 a.m. officers responded to 14th Avenue South and South Walker Street for the report of a man stabbed. As officers were arriving in the area a patrol officer saw two people running from the scene in the shadows. One of those people ended up being the female suspect, who was located hiding underneath a car near 12th Avenue South and South Massachusetts Street. She was taken into custody and transported to the South Precinct for further investigation. The male suspect remains at large.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the two suspects and the male victim all know each other and may have lived together before. The two suspects were sitting in a stolen Honda at 14th Avenue South and South Walker Street when they were approached by the victim. The male suspect and victim got into an argument. The suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim on the hand and torso. The male and female suspects then fled the scene on foot.
Fire department medics responded to the scene and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers recovered the stolen Honda and had it towed to the evidence garage for further forensic analysis.
The suspect at large is described as a black male, 5’1″ tall, 145 pounds, with short black hair and last seen wearing all black clothing.
This remains an active and on-going investigation.
