The Gang Unit is investigating a shooting in South Seattle this morning. Just shortly after 11:00 a.m., officers responded to Rainier Av S and S. Genesee St to numerous reports of shots fired. As officers were arriving on scene, a security guard called from an area hospital to report that a gunshot victim had just shown up at the hospital.
There were a number of reports with varying degrees of vehicle and possible suspect descriptions. The Gang Unit is investigating. At this point officers are still on scene attempting to determine what happened and identify involved parties. The adult male victim sustained a gunshot wound to the scapula.
