Pioneer Square business robbed by man wearing a “Michael Myers” mask

Pioneer Square business robbed. On 10/31/13, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the victim was outside of the business, located in the Pioneer Building at 608 1st Avenue, smoking a cigarette.  After finishing his smoke break, the victim re-entered the building by an entrance on the James Street side of the building.

As he opened the door he felt the unseen suspect press an object of some kind against his back, forcing the victim into the building. The suspect aggressively shoved the victim against the wall a few times while inside the building. The suspect then forced the victim to take him to the business office.  The suspect then forced the victim to open the office safe and place all the money from the safe into a bag.  While the victim was transferring the cash from the safe to the bag, the suspect ripped all of the office telephone cords from their sockets.

The suspect then tried to zip-tie the victim’s hands behind his back, but for unknown reasons was unable to complete the process.  The suspect then told the victim to stay in the office for twenty minutes before leaving.  The suspect took the cash and fled in an unknown direction, possibly in an unknown vehicle.   The victim eventually left the office and called 9-1-1.

The suspect was described as an unknown race male wearing a “Michael Meyers” Halloween mask, possibly a t-shirt and blue jeans.

The victim sustained some minor bruising on his hands and arms from being pushed around by the suspect.  No medical attention required.
