Residential Burglary in North Seattle

Last night, at around 8:00 pm, a 74-year-old man was inside his home in the 2700 Block of NE 87th Street when he heard a noise toward the rear of the house.  Most of the lights were off and the man observed a light coming from the bathroom.  The victim went to investigate and was confronted by an unknown male standing in his hallway.

The burglar pushed the man and then ran out the back door.  Police were called and despite quick containment and a K9 track, the suspect was not located. The victim was not injured.

The suspect was described as an unknown race male, six feet tall, heavy build, wearing dark clothing and possibly a ski mask.  It is not believed anything was taken during this burglary, but burglary detectives are conducting the follow up investigation.
