Robber tracked to Motel on Aurora Av N

Robbery Detectives found a robber hiding out at an area motel. On 12/24/13, a suspect entered the QFC store on Holman Road and filled a grocery cart full of automotive products and left the store with the items in the cart without making any attempt to pay.  He was contacted outside the store by a store employee who requested that he pay for the items.

The suspect pulled a knife with an open blade and told to store employee to stay away.  The employee backed away and watched the suspect load the items into a maroon Toyota Camry.  The suspect left in the Camry with the stolen items.

An investigation was conducted by the Robbery Unit and the suspect was identified by store employees from a montage on 12/31/2013.   The suspect was a former employee of QFC, having worked in another store in the Seattle area.

A wanted bulletin was posted on 12/31/2013 identifying the suspect as being wanted for Robbery. On 1/3/2014 officers of the North Anti Crime team contacted the suspect at the Roadway Motel on Aurora Ave N and arrested him without incident.

The suspect was transported to the Robbery Unit and processed. He was later booked into King Count Jail for Investigation of Robbery
