Man stabbed in Victor Steinbrueck Park. On 1/10/14, just shortly after 7:00 p.m., officers responded to a call of a stabbing in Victor Steinbrueck Park. Upon arrival, officers found the victim at the entrance to the park and noticed that he was bleeding from a stab wound to his arm.
Officers at the scene were able to quickly obtain a good clothing description and direction of travel for the suspect. After securing the scene, officers called in Seattle Fire Department (SFD), who were staged and waiting . SFD arrived and tended to the victim’s stab wound. The injury was non-life threatening.
A few minutes later, less than a block away, officers located a possible suspect who matched the description. A witness was brought to the scene and positively identified the suspect as the person who stabbed the victim.
The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center by ambulance for further treatment. The 38-yr-old suspect was transported to the West Precinct and later booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Assault.
