A pedestrian sustained serious head injuries after being struck by an ambulance.
On March 15, 2014, just shortly before 9:00 p.m., a SUV stopped for a pedestrian that was crossing the roadway in the midblock of the 1900 block of Boren. As the pedestrian crossed onto the S/B lanes, an AMR Ambulance side mirror struck the pedestrian’s head.
Seattle Fire Medics transported the pedestrian to Harborview Medical Center with serious head injuries.
As is protocol, a Drug Recognition Expert Officer evaluated the adult driver and determined that she was not impaired. She was released at the scene pending further investigation.
The investigation continues.
