Three people being investigated for attacking a homeless man

Three people attacked a homeless man in Pioneer Square. On 3/15/14, just shortly before 6:00 p.m., a man was stabbed when he and another male and female attacked a homeless man in Pioneer Square.

The three suspects were walking through Pioneer Square when they came upon the victim who was minding his own business, sleeping on a memorial near First Avenue South and South Main Street.

Witnesses stated that the woman yelled at the man for sleeping on the memorial, then she kicked him.  One of her companions hit the victim with a stick and the third suspect joined in. The homeless man then got up to defend himself and stabbed one of the men with a knife. The three suspects were reportedly intoxicated.

The injured suspect was taken to the hospital.  The other two suspects were not injured. The homeless man refused treatment.

The two suspects, a 37 -yr-old female and a 45-year-old male were booked into King County Jail for Assault. The third suspect-due to his injuries was not booked into Jail. However, will face assault charges.
