Seattle police were called to a home in the Brighton neighborhood early this morning after two burglars opened fire on a man after he caught them breaking into his house.
Around 2:30 AM, the victim was asleep in the lower floor of his home in the 4600 block of S. Othello Street when he heard a crash inside his home.
The victim got up to check on the noise and saw two men standing just inside his splintered front door.
When the victim started shouting at the suspects one of the men drew a gun and fired two shots, striking a wall inside the home.
The suspects fled the scene and the victim called 911.
No one was injured in the incident.
Officers and and a K9 Unit searched the neighborhood, but weren’t able to find the suspects.
