Two 16-year-old burglars arrested in South Seattle

Three juvenile burglars attempted to break into a South Seattle Home.

On 3/30/14, just shortly after 9:00 a.m., the victims were inside their home in the 5400 block of 18 Av S, when the suspects, who arrived in a gold Honda, knocked on the victim’s door and rang the doorbell.

The victims saw one of the suspects looking through their sliding glass door. The suspect then began hitting the door with a hard object, causing the door to crack. The other two suspects surrounded the house.

Officers arrived on scene and detained a subject (suspect at sliding glass door) who had gone back to the suspects’ car. The other two suspects fled on foot, one of which was caught by officers following a short foot pursuit. He was arrested without incident.

The suspect’s vehicle, a gold Honda has been used in a string of burglaries throughout South Seattle.  The suspects’ vehicle was taken to the SPD processing room.

Both 16-year-old suspects were booked into the Youth Service Center for Investigation of Burglary (attempt).
