A 56-year-old woman was robbed in South Seattle earlier today.
On 5/18/14, just shortly after 2:00 p.m., officers responded to 46th S. and S. Juneau St to investigate a robbery. The victim stated that she was walking home when the suspect grabbed her by the neck and nearly lifted her off the ground.
The suspect ripped the victim’s necklace off and fled the area in a vehicle. An area check for the suspect was negative. He is described as a black male, 30 years of age, 5’ 10”, heavy set and bald head. He was wearing a yellow sweatshirt/yellow pants, and black shoes.
The suspect’s vehicle was described as a silver vehicle, partial plate beginning with “308″.
The victim stated that she has has seen the suspect before- he frequents the area of Rainier Avenue South and South Juneau St.
The 56-year-old victim was treated on scene by Seattle Fire for minor abrasions on her near.
