Man Stabbed Near Victor Steinbrueck Park

A man injured in a stabbing near Victor Steinbrueck Park Tuesday morning was able to describe the knife used in the attack, but not the person wielding the blade.

After a witness called 911 and reported the stabbing just after 10 AM Tuesday, police found the bloodied 41-year-old man sitting on a bench in the park, near Western Ave. and Virginia St.

The man was reluctant to talk to officers about what had happened and told officers he “didn’t see” his attacker, but gave a description of the knife.

The man, who was bleeding from stab wounds in both of his thighs, also told officers he didn’t want to be listed as a victim in their report on the incident.

Medics transported the man to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries.
