A robber was arrested yesterday following a stick- up at a West Seattle mini mart.
On 6/20/14, at approximately 7:30 p.m. officers responded to an armed robbery call at the 7-11 store, 1600 SW Holden St.
According to the victim/clerk, a lone male entered the store and implied that he had a gun. He demanded the contents of the cash drawer from the clerk and fled from the store after receiving the money. Officers from the Southwest Anti-Crime Team were in the area in plain clothes and located the suspect.
They followed him to another mini-market which he entered and remained for several minutes. Officers set up on the mini-market and when the suspect exited the store he was quickly arrested.
The suspect had a large amount of cash on his person and had bought at least $100 in scratch lotto tickets. The victim positively identified the robber.
The man was booked into King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
