ORIGINAL POST – A man out for a morning walk along the Duwamish waterway made a grisly discovery: a body lying on the ground with severe head trauma. The man quickly called 911 and summoned police officers and medics.

Police and Fire personnel received the call around 6:30 a.m. and responded to the area of 8 Avenue S and S Portland Street. Seattle Fire medics proclaimed the victim, an adult man, deceased. Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation detectives responded and began to carefully search for any evidence or clues that might offer insight as to what transpired. Detectives believe that the victim was assaulted somewhere else, brought to the Duwamish waterway bank, and left there.

Detectives canvassed the surrounding neighborhood searching for witnesses. This effort proved fruitful. Some area residents reported seeing a suspicious car in the neighborhood after midnight.

Detectives will be working hard to follow up on any leads that will help solve this case.
