Federal Way Police were in a vehicle pursuit late Friday night when they located the suspect vehicle from an earlier armed robbery on Beacon Hill and arrested one of the suspects.
Officers were called to the 2900 Block of south Snoqualmie street just after 9 p.m. when two women were robbed at gunpoint. The two women had parked their car and were walking across the parking lot when they were confronted by two men.
One of the men produced a handgun and threatened to shoot the women. Both women had their purses and necklaces stolen from them, one of whom may have broken a finger when the purse was pulled from her hand. The men fled the scene in a car, causing a collision as they left.
A short time later Federal Way police located the suspect vehicle seen fleeing from the robbery. When they attempted to stop the car a vehicle pursuit commenced, before one of the two suspects was arrested. A second suspect is still being sought.
Seattle Officers drove to Federal Way and took custody of the suspect as well as the suspect vehicle for further processing. The arrested man was booked into King County Jail on investigation of robbery.
A sincere thank you to Federal Way PD and all of our regional law enforcement partners.
