Detectives are searching for the driver of a silver Toyota Camry who fled the scene after striking a 22-year-old man skateboarding in SoDo early Sunday.
The victim was hit around 2:20 a.m. when he tried to cross Airport Way South near South Alaska Street. The Toyota’s driver side headlight and bumper was damaged and the driver’s side view mirror was broken off in the collision.
The car, believed to be a 2011 Toyota Camry LE or SE, never stopped and was last seen traveling southbound on Airport Way South. The skateboarder is in serious condition at Harbor View Medical Center.
