Seattle police are investigating after a woman was stabbed and left on a South Park street early this morning.
A witness found the victim lying on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of S. Cloverdale Street at about 4:45 and called 911.
Officers arrived at the scene and searched the area but weren’t able to find the suspects.
Before medics transported the woman to Harborview Medical Center, the victim told police she’d been waiting at a bus stop when two women attacked her, stabbed her in the face, shoulders and hands and fled the scene.
Officers were able to gather some information at the scene about the identity of the suspects.
The victim’s condition was not immediately available, but we’ll update this post with more information later today.
Update: It appears the victim knows at least one of her assailants, and police are now investigating whether a dispute on Facebook may have sparked the stabbing.
