Update: Officers arrested the suspect just after 4:15 PM inside a White Center restaurant.

Seattle police are searching for a car thief who sped away from a West Seattle convenience store Wednesday after stealing an SUV with a 10-month-old child inside.

Nineteen minutes after police began searching for the suspect, King County Sheriff’s Deputies and Seattle police found SUV and the child—who was OK—parked near 8th Avenue SW and SW 99th Street.

As of 3:50 PM, Police and King County Sheriff’s deputies were searching for the suspect in the area.

Witnesses have described the suspect as a hispanic male, 19-21 years old, 120 pounds, 5’6 to 5’7, with very short hair and a mustache, wearing tan khaki pants, a black sweatshirt, black tank top, and black shoes.
