SPD Robbery detectives are working to connect three teens to a Capitol Hill carjacking after Los Angeles traffic cops caught the group driving the stolen Ford Fusion in southeast LA last night.
LAPD contacted SPD’s robbery unit this morning to advise SPD they had taken the three teens in custody, and detectives are now working to tie the teens to the September 25th carjacking and extradite them back to Washington.
In that incident, a group of teens pistol-whipped a man at 10th Avenue and Seneca Street before fleeing in the man’s car.
Detectives are also investigating whether the group of teens have any connection to other recent robberies in the Capitol Hill area.
Update:
LA police also arrested a fourth teenaged suspect, believed to be connected with the group, for unrelated crimes in California.
