Officers arrested four people overnight following a fight that ensued when a group of men tried to force their way into a home in the University District.
Just minutes into Saturday morning, officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 4500 block of 21 Ave. NE where many witnesses approached officers and told them they were enjoying a party at their home when four people arrived and attempted to crash the party. The witnesses were able to thwart the party crashers initial attempt, but three people eventually gained entry into the home. The partygoers fought with the uninvited guests and forced them out of the home. One of the intruders then produced a pistol and fired multiple rounds into the air. After the suspect’s firearm jammed multiple times they retreated to their car and fled the scene.
A short time later, some eagle-eyed officers spotted the suspect’s vehicle in front of a club at 8th Ave. NE and NE 45th St. Officers were able to safely take all four suspects into custody and have booked into King County Jail for investigation of burglary. Officers also impounded the suspect’s vehicle and are awaiting a search warrant.
