Man Stabbed Near Convention Center

Officers are on the lookout after a man was stabbed near a downtown park early Saturday evening.

Officers responded to the Seattle Convention Center at 6:48 p.m. when security guards called to report a man with a stab wound.  When they arrived officers found the 21-year-old victim with a single stab wound to the torso.  The victim was not forthcoming with information when officers tried to question him about the suspect. The victim eventually described the suspect as a 20-year-old black male wearing jeans, black shirt and a black scarf.

Medics responded and took the victim to Harborview Medical center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers scoured the area around Freeway Park and determined that 9th Ave. and University St. was the stabbing site. Officers were unable to find the suspect or weapon.
