Police are investigating after a Beacon Hill home was struck by gunfire Wednesday afternoon.
After receiving reports of the shooting around 2:40 PM, officers arrived in the 5100 block of S. Avon Street and found a home damaged by gunfire.
A resident of the home told officers he had walked out of the house after the shooting and spoke to a man standing on the street. The man claimed he had been the target of the shooting, before he ran to a red Chevy truck and fled the scene.
Police have not yet received a description of a gunman, or spoken with the supposed target of the shooting, but are interviewing witnesses and collecting evidence at the scene.
It appears no one was injured in the incident.
