Police arrested a 16-year-old boy Thursday afternoon after he fired a gun at other people in the Dunlap neighborhood. No one was injured in the shooting.
Witnesses reported the gunfire to police around 4 p.m. Officers responding to the scene spotted the suspect, based on descriptions provided by callers, and chased him on foot. The boy was eventually caught and officers found handgun in his pocket.
In addition to being identified as the shooter by witnesses, the suspect had warrants for contempt of court, drive by shooting and robbery. Officers booked him into King County Youth Service Center on charges stemming from the shooting, as well as the warrants.
